Update

Yay! Doug gets his pick line out in 8 days. He is doing really well and we are all excited. Its about darn time. I get to quit Convergys!!!!! I am so excited. However I have to get out of the house a couple of days a week so I applied at Sears. I did get the job in the hair salon at Sears and I go in and discuss details on friday with the manager. I am only going to be working two days a week and one saturday a month. Can't get any better than that! I am really excited to get back into hair, I really love doing it. Paige and Maddie are doing well. Paige keeps asking when she gets to be a Schiffman too. It's cute. We also get to spend most of Thanksgiving day with Maddie. It will be nice.

Whew!!!!

Thank goodness that's over! Doug and I got married on Sunday! It was so much fun and it was everything we had hoped for. Thank you to all of you who came and showed your support. The four of us are really excited to start this journey together. Doug has expressed an extreme interest in adopting Paige. We have talked to Paige about it and she said that she would like to be a Schiffman like the rest of us. She was sad the other day that she was the only Foster in the house. So Doug and I talked about it and we let her know that I would stay a Foster until she became a Schiffman too. She seemed to glow at that. She wanted us to do it together. Man that kid makes my heart melt.

It's about time

We finally got some answers yesterday! Doug went to an infectious disease doctor yesterday. we found out that the doctors have been using the wrong meds for the past three weeks and that the infections that he has been having are not only the staph but perhaps two other infections to go along with it. The doctors have only been treating the staph and the other problems have been left to make problems. The new meds that he is on are scary powerful and he has to have blood drawn every couple of days to watch it but hopefully it will do the trick.
Maddie has been able to stay with us for longer than normal her other family has been really sick. Is that awful to be happy about that? We have been happy to have her.
Paige has loved maddie being here.

Almost

Whew!!!! Doug tells me that we have only 135 hours till we get married. Yes he is keeping track. I am excited to get this all out of the way. It has been a bit stressful but thats what its all about huh. Paige and Maddie are still excited to be together and they have been learning to resolve their own problems. The majority of the time they do really well. They are excited to get married and wear their pretty dresses.
Doug still has a pick line and will probably have it for the wedding too. He has to go and see an infectious disease doctor on Wednesday. Hopefully we can finally get all this stuff under control so he will start feeling better. I am sad when he feels crummy. But it is nice because he is upbeat and always puts me and the girls first no matter how bad he is feeling. Man I am lucky!!!!!!!!
I had to go to the doctor for my knee again. It has been dislocating. Man that hurts. We are going to try and strengthen all the muscles around my knee first but if that doesn't work I will have, yes, another knee surgery to replace my kneecap and make a deeper grove in my femur bone where the kneecap sits. Ya! I so don't want to do that!
Well that's all folks and we hope to see ya all at the wedding!

Good Times

Paige and I had so much fun on Halloween and at Alex's baptism. Poor Doug had to work. He was sad to miss the fun. A week before Halloween Doug, Paige and I went with his family to a pumpkin walk. It was fun to be with his family and have good laughs.
Doug is feeling a little bit better and it is nice to have him smiling.
Everything is going well for the wedding. All we have to do now is wait. Blech! I think that is the hardest part.
